Ping2 on the RUN =D

I set my goals high! Yes, I fell hard all the time but time and again have shown me that I landed stronger, to climb again! When you know you are going blind, you wake up everyday not to meet others' expectation, but to work hard for what you truly enjoy and believe in. This is my journey

I want to create Awareness for Rare diseases

Is that I only start having vision problem when I am over 20 years of age?  No!  I told my parents numerous times I cannot see in the dark since teenager.  I remembered my mum telling me, you are just scared of dark and asked me to continue on walking, that time it was on an overhead bridge and it was at night!  Never for once till I am 26 years old that my parents brought me for an eye checkup.

Is that my parents are uncaring?  NO!  They just didn’t know that really is such thing as “slowly” getting blind.  There is lots of rare diseases and is hard to create awareness because is so rare!  Here is the thing, if your kid tells you something is not right, although is a naughty kid, may be the kid is trying to tell you something which you are not aware of. It all starts with awareness…

As unique human being, all of us have special needs!

Something I extracted from Facebook status:

Many people think that a suicide attempt is a selfish move because the person just does not care about the people left behind. I can tell you that when a person gets to that point, they truly believe that their loved ones will be much better off with them gone. This is mental illness not selfishness.

TRUTH: Depression is a terrible disease and seems relentless. A lot of us have been close to that edge, or dealt with family members in a crisis, and some have lost friends and loved ones. Let’s look out for each other and stop sweeping mental illness under the rug.
If I don’t see your name, I’ll understand.

May I ask my family and friends wherever you might be, to kindly copy and paste this status for one hour to give a moment of support to all those who have family problems, health struggles, job issues, worries of any kind and just need to know that someone cares. Do it for all of us, for nobody is immune. Hope to see this on the walls of all my family and friends just for moral support. I know some will!!! I did it for a friend and you can too.

You have to copy and paste this one, no sharing. thank you.

As unique human being, all of us have special needs!

Human is so unique that we tend to take thing for granted but how if you never take that thing for-granted and it was taken away from you?  I will definitely support as much as I can those that in need of support but I will work closer with those that require special needs at older age because I personally feel that I am going to be “troublesome” and this is the type of thinking that will lead a lot of people that requires special needs to develop depression.  Is not easy to overcome this type of thought but only with support and awareness is important!  They are not selfish, they just need a little love 😀

What do you want to be? What do you want to achieve?

What I want to be?

I want to be a person that inspire others to be healthy and happy especially those that requires special needs at older age.  I want to be a person that can “see” with my heart! 🙂

I want to be like this man 😀

What I want to achieve?

I want to complete my PhD and work with deaf children.  A lot of people are inspired by people they don’t know but I want them to know that I am a real person!  I cry and I laugh and I have to work hard even if I am different bur once I set my goal, no matter how different we are, we can achieve it!

I want to set up a centre to give moral support especially to people become disabled at older age.

I want to complete a full marathon!

There is a lot of things we don’t know but always look ahead:

Determine to do my 1st ever Full marathon!

I am just an ordinary girl with the gift of “blind” sentence but HELL!!!!!!  I am determine to be a best I can be!  I completed my 1/2 marathon after 5 years of not doing the distance.  I completed 2:15:42.

A review of Melbourne Marathon!  The run is a yearly thing and during Spring!  I ran last year and this year but this year the weather is better.  This year it all ends in the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).  Yes, you get to feel that feeling if you have seen those big running event where the run ends in the stadium and the runner dashes into the finishing in the stadium with the roaring of the crowd!  Awesome feeling!  Everyone at the Melbourne Marathon 2015!  You did well! 😀

MCG Melbourne Marathon

This is totally out but there are things that I can never understand:

Why healthy people that are so determine to life their lives as unhealthy as possible!  Not exercising, don’t eat well, sit whole day and to top it all up!!!!!!!!  the excuse is they need to work!  But one thing for sure, only when you know you are going to lose it, then you will cherish it!  I hope everyone will cherish their good health and try to maintain it.

I know is not easy to maintain but I must!  GOGOGO!  Full marathon at least once in your lifetime! 😀

Science our way to see again!

This type of research is important because if new brain cells can grow, so do eye cells!

Is a genetic disorder, is it possible for us to alter our DNA?

Inspiring…
